Job description - Plant Operation Manager
Job Summary
We are a Hygiene product manufacturer in West Charlotte area. We are seeking an experienced plant manager to oversee the production, maintenance, and quality assurance functions. This professional multitasker will coordinate the plant’s manufacturing processes to ensure compliance with company objectives, quality systems, and customer expectations. The ideal candidate will be exceptionally detail oriented and able to lead a team, serving as liaison between plant workers and upper management. This person must be dedicated to achieving operational excellence and have a genuine interest in helping the company succeed.
Objectives of this role
Ideate and implement strategic improvements for production, quality, and staff utilization throughout the facility
Provide leadership to ensure effective utilization of plant personnel and equipment
Collaborate with functional departments in the implementation of improvements
Investigate and implement innovative manufacturing processes to reduce costs and improve product quality
Apply lean manufacturing principles in designing, specifying, and validating world-class manufacturing processes that achieve organizational goals
Responsible for train employee the basic knowledge about quality, safety and 5S, make sure they understand the importance and the benefits, consequence of quality, safety and 5S;
Responsibilities
Plan and coordinate manufacturing operations for production, machinery, processing, and packaging departments
Ensure that production line schedules are in accordance with facility capabilities, customer requirements, and financial planning
Manage materials replenishment, quality standards, and performance metrics in support of organizational goals and objectives
Manage cost structures for manufacturing by keeping operational expenses within budget allowance, and investigate cost-reduction measures
Create documentation protocols and ensure that all records of operations are properly maintained and reviewed
Responsible for personal safety, production safety, equipment safety and environment cleaning;
Required skills and qualifications
10 or more years of experience in plant operations
Proven skills in leadership and supervision under bilingual work culture
Ability to speak effectively and interact with other team members, engineers, leadership and customers.
Preferred skills and qualifications
Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in operations management, business, engineering, or related field
Production corresponding knowledge: quality, safety, equipment, process, 5S, delivery, cost
Familiar with OSHA regulations

Pay: $100,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
